Within our various communities, fellowshipping and ministering to each other. The last Sunday of each month is the suggested time, but surely your group can decide what works best for you. Our church encompasses a large area from Hoyt Lakes to Mountain Iron, from Ely to Eveleth, and beyond. Local groups are a great way to build relationships and invite new visitors to join in and feel welcome.
We all have times we need the body to minister to us. LOAF groups are a great way to organize and minister to each other for prayer requests, funerals, meals for a family in need, etc. “ONE ANOTHER” reaches out and touches lives.
Fellowship can include anything from simple potlucks in your homes, to ministry opportunities in your communities, i.e. nursing home visits, serving a meal with the Salvation Army, movie and popcorn at the church, baking Christmas cookies, etc. It’s also a great informal way to invite neighbors who don’t attend church.
We encourage your group to rotate between families to host your monthly meetings. Let’s encourage “ONE ANOTHER” with this ministry, functioning well and carrying out our vision for being a “REACHING OUT” church.
When a new family visits our church, we encourage them to fill out a visitor’s card. We would like someone from your group to visit them and make them feel welcome by bringing them a loaf of bread, thanking them for worshipping with us. Your group will be contacted when these opportunities come.
